Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Ambermark, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Ambermark website, applications, and services (the “Service”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. “Similar technologies” include browser local storage and comparable mechanisms that store or read information on your device. We use a mix of these to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Service to function — for example, keeping you securely signed in and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off through the Service, and consent is not required for them.

Analytics (consent-gated)

Helps us measure and improve the Service. Where required, these are not set or initialized until you accept via our consent banner, and they stay off if you decline. You can change your choice at any time (see Section 4).

Analytics and advertising (consent-gated)

On our marketing pages we use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and advertising tags (Google Ads and, in future, other advertising platforms). Before you accept, Google tags run without cookies and send cookieless pings that may include the page address, referrer and browser type but no cookies or identifiers; after you accept they may set analytics and advertising cookies.

3. Cookies and technologies we use

The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies we use and why.

  • Authentication session (Strictly necessary) — Keeps you signed in and secures your account session (set by our auth provider, Supabase). The Service cannot work without it. Lasts for the life of your session.
  • Consent preference (ambermark.consent.v1) (Strictly necessary) — Remembers whether you accepted or declined non-essential analytics so we don't ask again and we honor your choice. Stored in your browser's local storage until you clear it.
  • Product analytics (PostHog) (Analytics (consent-gated)) — Helps us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it (PostHog, acting as our processor). Not set or initialized until you accept; stays off if you decline.
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads (loaded by Google Tag Manager) (Analytics and advertising (consent-gated)) — Measures visits to our marketing pages and the results of our advertising (Google, acting for us). Before you accept, Google tags run without cookies and send cookieless pings that may include the page address, referrer and browser type but no cookies or identifiers; after you accept they may set analytics and advertising cookies (for example _ga, _gcl_au).
  • Referral attribution (ambermark.ref.v1) (First-party attribution) — Set only if you arrive by clicking a “Made with” badge on a website we host, so we can tell which site sent you if you later sign up. It holds an identifier for that website plus a random, one-off identifier for that click — the second is used solely to connect the click to a later sign-up. Both are processed by our product-analytics provider on our behalf; neither is sold, and neither is shared with the site whose badge you clicked or with any other third party. It is readable only by our servers (never by scripts), is never sent to another site, and expires after 30 days.

4. Managing your choices

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential analytics and advertising cookies; your choice is remembered on this device. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings — note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working. Clearing your browser storage will reset your consent choice, and the banner will appear again so you can choose afresh.

5. Third parties

Some technologies are provided by the service providers described in our Privacy Policy (for example, our authentication and analytics providers, and Google for analytics and advertising measurement). Those providers process information on our behalf to deliver their services to us. Note that separately from cookies, our servers also record product events and errors and send them to our analytics and error-monitoring providers; that server-side collection uses no cookies and is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.
